Living For Liz was founded in 2012 in honor of Elizabeth Holman Melde who passed away from lung cancer at the age of 25. Elizabeth was a non-smoker. Each year, lung cancer takes more lives than breast, colon and prostate cancers combined yet receives the least amount of research funding of all major cancers.
